Dance sessions will be delivered in a six-week block, allowing people with a range of learning and physical disabilities to express themselves through dance in a fun and interactive way.
Sessions will be held every Wednesday at the Dane Walk Day Centre in Northwich between 10.30am – 11.30am, costing £2.50.
The project has been seed-funded by Sport England and will be sustained through partnership working with the Council's Arts and Sports development teams and Cheshire Dance.
There will be two taster sessions taking place on Wednesday, 24 August and Wednesday, 7 September at Dane Walk.
These taster sessions will be free of charge and are open to anyone with a disability who wants to try dance. Although the sessions are free of charge, individuals must book a place, by calling Cheshire Dance on 01606 861770 or email info@cheshiredance.org.
Sarah Tilling, Assistant Sports Development Officer, said: 'The project is hoping to extend the levels of provision for disabled people within the Northwich area and will hopefully be just as successful as the one in Chester held at the Mulberry Centre.'
