Advice will be offered on a wide range of items including Housing and Council Tax Benefit, child care costs, loft and cavity wall insulation grants and cold weather payments.
Local Northwich West Conservative Councillor Kate Birtwistle said: “A Welfare Benefits Advisor can help complete forms, advise customers on what help is available, or arrange home visits or telephone call-backs for any customer who prefers to discuss matters privately.”
“There are many ways in which the Welfare Benefits advisor can help so get in touch.”
Help may also include maternity grants, pension credit, tax credits, managing debt, mortgage or rent arrears, free school meals, water meter charges for large families or help with costs of NHS prescriptions, dental treatment and eyesight tests.
The Advisor can now also able to help with employment and training advice.
Graham commented “It’s great to see the Council, once again, putting resources into Northwich to help out many of our most vulnerable residents. After decades of being taken for granted by local Labour rule, Northwich is finally getting the support it deserves.
“I’d also remind residents that I also hold a regular help and advice surgery in Northwich and I am more than happy to help with any local issues.”
