Weaver Vale's MP Graham Evans undertook his 2014 Summer Tour during Parliament's annual summer recess this year, and it was bigger and busier than ever! Some people may think that MP’s have a long summer off - not ours!
June 29th: I was so pleased to hold my charity cricket match at Northwich Cricket Club raising much needed funds for local
charities.
July 5th: I headed to Tesco in Helsby for their fourth National Food Collection, in conjunction with the Trussell Trust and FareShare before attending St Bede's Summer Fair in Weaverham.
July 6th: Attended the annual Frodsham Downhill run, a wonderful community even held each year in Frodsham.
July 10th: I attended Sandymoor Governor's Meeting where I'm very proud to be a governor.
July 11th: Held my Help and Advice surgery at Beechwood Community Centre, a chance for people to come to me with specific issues and concerns.
July 12th: I was delighted to open the Weaverham Rose Fete, a lovely event.
July 24th: I held one of my "Meet Your MP" coffee mornings in Manley village hall, an excellent opportunity to chat with Manley residents.
July 25th: I held my Help and Advice surgery at Asda, Halton Lea, holding advice surgeries in supermarkets to make sure that I am as accessible as possible to residents.
July 28th: Today I was in Whitegate for a "meet your MP" coffee event.
July 31st: This afternoon, I was out and about in Kingsmead knocking on doors.
August 1st: Held my help and Advice surgery at Weaverham Community Centre.
August 3rd: I was so pleased to be in Runcorn for the unveiling of the new Todger Jones statue. This has involved a huge community fund raising effort to raise enough money to commemorate this amazing hero of the Great War.
August 6th: Out with the local councillors in Daresbury meeting residents.
August 8th: Help and Advice Surgeries in Beechwood and Helsby.
